As parents/carers you play an important role in supporting your child's Careers development. Talking to your child about their career journey and the different roles helps them to understand the different routes into careers, the options available and will help to raise your child’s aspirations.
At EWS we will provide parents with information about Careers opportunities and eventis via our school newsletter, website and social media platforms.
Students all have access to Unifrog, an online platform to help them explore their interests, career ideas, record activities and competencies, search for apprenticeship and university opportunities as well as find ‘know how’ guides on topics as diverse as mental health and green careers. Ask them to log in and show you!
Students also have access to 1:1 advice and guidance from Altogether. Altogether gives students personalised advice to help them to understand their next steps for further and future employment.
Students have a focus on careers in terms 2 & 4 as part of their stable carers programme. Students are also introduced to different types of careers through our tutor programme as well as providing opportunities for outside speakers and workshops to be delivered to students from our partnership programme.
We also have a strong partnership with Aston Martin as well as IEM group which provide many opportunities for students to gain valuable external support in preparing them for life after school.
